Success Stories Rob joined JPCS in 2004 as an operative. He was 26 years old. He has trained under one of our most experienced supervisors, has attended our training courses and gained qualifications that help him deliver his role to a high standard, and is now a Supervisor himself with his own gang. Rob’s development is continuing and we will work with Rob on his Personal Development and help him achieve his career goals. Eric has joined us in the last 12 months as a Commercial Manager. One of his reason’s for deciding to join JPCS was “because the Management systems are believed in from the top”. Eric has no regrets about his decision. Neil joined us in 1993 as an operative laying slurry, he is now one of our Operations Managers, and his knowledge of the product and what it is like for our men out on the road, away from families, is invaluable. Neil’s ability to relate to our operatives and supervisors and the issues they face on a daily basis is an asset to the Company. Our longest serving employee is now 65 years old, and has made the decision to continue to work for as long as he enjoys it and feels able. The Age Discrimination Legislation coming in when it did has enabled us to formalize our agreement with our employee. Our training programme is extensive, and includes courses where staff gain basic training to enable our staff to carry out their role to the high JPCS standards, nationally recognized qualifications, and also behavioural workshops which are delivered to managers, and where appropriate, staff. The JPCS Training Plan is already in place for 2007, with a programme of courses and workshops for staff at every level of the business. Our Director’s have been introduced to a Leadership Framework, designed to help them develop their managerial skills, so that JPCS continues to grow, through our investment in our people. There is a Training Plan for every new starter designed to upskill them to our high standards, gain the necessary qualifications, and feel a valued member of the team. The Training Plan starts with a Company Induction which covers a welcome to JPCS, essential Health and Safety information, Communication, Terms and Conditions of Employment, Environmental Awareness and Fleet Awareness. The Training Plan continues with Basic Operative Training in Modular form, carried out by our Training Mentor’s.
